Another painting inspired by my trip to Greece! I couldn’t believe the color of the water there 🇬🇷 The rich cerulean that fades to pale turquoise on the shore and to deep sapphire in the depths… it was simply a dream, and one I’ll be revisiting through painting for years to come 💙

I absolutely loved kicking off 2024 by seeing my painting hanging in @paradigmgs as a part of @theartqueens member exhibition, and I’m so happy to end the month saying that it has found a new home through @pxpcontemporary !

Wondering why I’ve been quieter on here this year? Well this is why! On October 7th I had the wedding of my dreams, and I’ve spent the better part of this past year pouring my he(art) & soul into all of the little details 🩷

I designed all of the stationary with hand-painted elements, made a hand beaded belt for my dress and matching veil comb, and even hand made ribbon for the bouquets (and matching pocket squares for the groomsmen) to make sure that every part of our special day was filled with art & color 🎨

It was the epitome of a labor of love, but I’m looking forward to spending some more time in the studio in 2024 and sharing more of my paintings on here!

Hi! It’s been a while since I posted on my feed and that’s because, well, Instagram has gotten exhausting. I miss what this app used to be, a photo & simple video sharing platform where I could post whatever I’m working on without thinking too hard or spending half an hour editing a video.

For those of you who have been keeping up with my stories, you’ve seen that I’m doing a 100 day art challenge (currently on day 53!)

I’ve never done a daily art challenge, and I’ve been really enjoying creating my own rules and readjusting along the way to make it work for me. Some days are a few hours, some days are 20 minutes, but every day is a complete small scale study of some kind practicing composition, color, and technique ✍🏻

For the first 50 days, I limited myself to reference photos I’ve taken in New York—I’ve now opened up to any travel scenes—but my favorite part of the New York focus was highlighting local spots in my neighborhood of Brooklyn that I love! This was day 11, and definitely one of the pieces I spent longest on, but I couldn’t resist going into all of that brick detail on @henrypublicsaloon

30 days into @theartqueens 100 day art challenge!

I challenged myself to complete a small piece (2x3” or 3x3”) every day using photos I’ve taken in New York as reference. I wanted to push myself to get ideas out, try different materials, study color and composition, and commit to this practice. It’s been a great experience so far, and I can’t wait to look back through everything I’ve made after 100 days and pick out some pieces to expand on in larger paintings 💜

I’m participating in @theartqueens 100 day challenge, and I decided to focus on scenes from New York 🗽 I’m keeping the pieces small, either 2x3” or 3x3”, and treating them as potential studies for bigger future pieces.
